An Indian Family Epic Journey from Bengaluru to Paris

Bangalore to Paris by car

Meet the Baid family. Earlier this year, Anand (37) and Punita Baid (36), along with their kids Yash (12) and Dhriti (8), went on an epic trip travelling through 11 countries over 111 days. And they did all of that in one car!

The journey started on April 8th.

Driving in their Fiat Linea, they started the journey on April 8th, after securing visas that had them exchanging hundreds of emails with the embassies of the countries that would fall on their route.

The planned route.

India > Nepal > China > Kyrgyzstan > Uzbekistan > Turkmenistan > Iran > Turkey > Greece > Italy > Switzerland (Alps) > Spain > France

They were also stuck in Nepal for 5 days, after the quake.

The family calls itself as L.I.F.E(Little Indian Family of Explorers). Like many travelers, this globe trotting family also had SHARED their wonderful experiences including love and compassion shown by many strangers along the way.

The Baid family flew back to India and had their car shipped home.

This epic road trip by the Baid family is an inspiration to everyone who wants to travel. Updating about their adventures on their Facebook page Overland Stories, they have proved that getting married and having kids do not mean the end of travel adventures. In fact, travelling with those you love is one of the best ways to spend time together and rediscover each other.

As they say, the family that travels together stays together.
