A Cat image which we received through WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger made this weekend a sleepless night. A malicious Cat Photo Disabled Facebook Account of few users. Is sending a Cat image a wrong thing in Facebook? Is that Cat really Scary?
How does this Cat look like?
The scary cat image is having a human body, which was suited up well with a Tie knotted for its neck. The Cat face is very scary which resembles some caution from that picture.
Cat Photo Disabled Facebook Account
How it Started?
This is how the story started, many of us received a cat picture through whatsapp groups and facebook messenger saying, “Try sending this Cat image to your friends on Facebook and see the magic”
We tried with sending from one of our friend facebook’s messenger and within a moment, the account was automatically logged out and when we tried to login, it displayed the message, “Your Facebook account was disabled”
We tried logging in from other browsers and we couldn’t able to login now.
Even when we searched for the disabled facebook profile, it displayed no result 🙁
Another bad thing is, all the message conversations also cleared out.
What we have done, so far?
We tried re-activating the account by submitting/scanning the valid ID proofs and Facebook has opened a Case for further investigation. They have given a Case# to follow up on this issue. But, I am not sure how this helps. Facebook also sent an email that you have violated the Terms and Conditions for uploading/using an image. From the points, we have identified one pointing stating “Publishing/Sharing the malicious content against facebook community standards will leads to disable your account”.
There are so many people already sent this and facing the same issue. Many Profiles got disabled till now. Some users are sending emails to Facebook, while some others started a conversation with facebook on twitter.
